On 1 December 2017, the first meeting of the Advisory Committee of the MixForChange project will be held at Montnegre-Corredor with the participating partners. This Committee is made up of managers and specialists in management of mixed forests, both in public and private sectors, as well as for researchers in forest management to adapt to climate change.
In this first meeting the team will visit several project stands and will have the opportunity to discuss management options to promote its adaptation to climate change and its multifunctionality. In addition, results of the initial diagnosis of holm oak and chestnut stands of the project will be presented and general principles to design forest interventions will be agreed. These interventions will be applied during the first semester of 2018.
